hi warriors!

I want to try some SB to try to get some links back to my site or articles
I tired reddit (yesterday) and I see rediit is certainly a long term thing
and certainly nothing where one can expect to get some quick links going

I'm not looking for some "submitter" tool

can anyone suggest something that you don't have to wait such a long time to be able to get some of your own links going?
(and maybe an "approach" top take?) (if you can!)

or any vid (free) tutorials that might show someone new to a particular SB site and how they made "headway" ???

I would be indebted to you!
thank you very much mates!

Dano~

1 bookmark is not nearly enough...

I recommend creating 10-20 email accounts, bookmark your stuff with del.i.cious, stumble upon, digg, reddit... each email account, start bookmarking on all of them.

      thanks nameless,

but can anyone speak to the specifics of this thread?
(I wasn't trying to be disrespectful!)

I mean an "approach" in as far as how to approach my behavior on a given SB site?
what to post 1st and how long before I should be able to "sprinkle in" my own stuff?
or a better approach? rather than a general approach

but in an approach with a specific Sb site
      where to start

maybe just a "5 by" quickly plan for a specific sb site (can you suggest the site as well)
so that I can feel comfortable with a particular approach and know what I'm doing won't take forever (like reddit) and will reap some benefit in rather short order

      (hope that made sense!)

      I know I'm asking a lot, but I still don't know !

      thanks!

      Dano~

I am unsure of what you are asking. You want links to your articles, and your site. Social bookmarking, isn't the way to do that. The bookmarking will help you in the SERPs but isn't going to give you a ton of links. Try using comment kahuna, or press releases for some quick links. Put your link in your signature for quick links.

It kind of is pointless, there is no short term success in SEO, you need to be in it for the long run.

However, I would take 100 social bookmarks, over 10,000 profiles backlinks any day. Just sayin.

      sorry about that nameless,

I think I may be asking way too much
like you know when you go on you tube and you watch some vid tutorial on how to build a site or some other "technical" thing?

it usually shows you what they are doing "step by step"

(I am sooo dumb! and uncreative! Honestly! you wouldn't believe how pathetic my thought structure can be!)

So I wish someone had something similar but that pertained to "one SB site", and what they did or posted, maybe condensed to show you over the course of a few days how you might be able to build a few links ...

not how to "create" an account, but what they post and what I might see of someone who really knows what they are doing in as far as their ultimate goal of making some type of links to their site

that's what I was trying to say!!

I have to agree with you that social bookmarking isn't what he's looking for. I'm not familiar with Comment Kahuna but I'll check it out. I'm all for tools that make my life easier. Thanks for the tip.

I like having the Share This tool in my browser Sharing Widget, Sharing Button, Sharing Plugin - ShareThis - I can quickly put links to where I select. I'll use this when I want a few better quality more customized SB.

Onlywire.com is free if you put a link to them in your site. It is more of an auto SB tool. Its fast and easy to use. It works from your browser.

I agree about Press Releases, it can be a quick way to create links. When I submit to free press release sites I often re-purpose an article because many of the smaller free sites in reality are only going to provide a link. The reason some press release sites can and do charge, sometimes quite a lot, is because they have relationships with and the respect from real journalists and known news sources that will get your release read. Unless you have some actual news though it is unlikely the story would be picked up.
