Link Exchange for SEO

I'm currently looking at different possibilites for backlinking and I came across many sites where you install a script on your website and you exchange links within the same category.

Has anyone tried this?? would you recommend it?

    • It is not much tuff, The websites which are having page rank can go a head for this process, the sites which are not having pr cannot be used for link exchange, You need to find the websites which are offering the same product as yours and can mail them telling that we are and xyz company offering the same services are you interested in link exchange, if they are interested they will get back to you asap .
  • Ya I am currently testing out services like that. One thing to remember is that they are not permanent links. I'm however more scared of them being counted as paid links by google maybe....

    I'm a big fan of article directory links which have helped me a lot in the past year but I saw competitors rank with sitewide links (not with this type of plugin but with permanent sitewide links) so I want to give it a try and see for myself.
