Help converting traffic

So I've started internet marketing about 2 weeks ago, did a lot of research and worked on my site through mainly SEO to generate traffic and I think I've done well for my first try. I'm currently ranked first page (some top 5) for several keywords. I'm currently getting about 1k+ traffic/day after one week of hard work.

Now the problem is I'm not making any money, I'm doing mainly adsense and the ads are well placed on my site but I'm not getting any CTR, maybe 2-3 per day. My site is a review/news site for a popular product that is yet to release so I can't find specific ads for this product yet. What other methods can I do to take advantage of my traffic?

Build new pages/content that promotes existing products with a lot of competition on Adwords.

test the placement of your ads. Make sure they are visible but not violating TOS

  awesome, I added amazon widgets to my site yesterday and will look into the rest.
  
  by testing placement, you mean by moving them around and see how they do right?

Amazon- if your site is a wordpress look for a widget that will insert amazon ads into your articles.
Adsense- make shure your ads have the same background as the page has, no borders and no flashy stuff. Best one to use is the big square.
Try placing the add inside the article rite in its beggining.
Cpa-join a big cpa network using you site and look for suitable cpa offers there.
THere are lots of ways to make money with a site like that!
