Anyone know how to get Youtube video rank high within youtube search?

It seems that people are talking about getting a good ranking from Google, the SEO tips & tricks are readily available all over the Internet, but unfortunately, Youtube Optimization is not been discussed much.

So apart from inserting your keyword in the video title & description, what other factors that youtube will take into consideration to rank your video higher in their own search engine? I'm not talking about Search engines here, but youtube itself.

If youtube will take into consideration of how many times your video was embedded across the Internet?

    Honestly my youtube videos are not ranked too high yet, but when it comes to youtube its not really so much about SEO( though if you were gonna do SEO, I would do the same you do to get webpages ranked in google, as well as bookmark your youtube vidoes using socialmarker or another bookmarking site)

    Perhaps initially you need to do SEO, but to achieve lots of views you have to catch peoples attention. Examples explosions, an attractive girl( this can work especially well if you somehow get it to be your video's image)cars, ect. These types of things interest people. I can send you a video on youtube that talks about getting more views.

    You actually pose a great question.

    A video which has more comments and ratings (net positive ratings) is going to rank higher than one with less comments and ratings. Therefore, it is important that you have comments and ratings activated, and encourage viewers of your YouTube videos to be vocal.

    Additionally, you should make sure that your video do one of three things:

    1. Educate

    2. Inform

    3. Entertain

    These are the videos which receive the most views on YouTube. As you probably know, YouTube ranks more popular videos higher than less popular videos.

    Also, make sure that your thumb nails stand out. For example, take a look at my photo on Warrior Forum. It was no accident that I used the background which I did. These sorts of backgrounds tend to stand out and get recognized.

    Finally, make sure that your that you optimize your video titles, descriptions, embeds, and links. All of these influence the rankings of your videos within YouTube.

    Hopefully these suggestions were helpful to answer some of your questions.

    You can also advertise on youtube. Do everthing you mentioned above...keyword research filling in tittle, description and tags. Advertise with related keywords for 1 cent a click. That's 1000 clicks for $10. If your video is good it will get embedded by other users, get return visitors and move up in the search engines including the youtube search.
