There is a problem with what you are looking for in that how you promote your site with seo is basically about building backlinks, and the amount you do and when depends on a number of factors like how much content you add to your site and how often.

For example 500 links in a week for a new site with only 5 pages is not natural, but 500 links in 2-4 weeks for a slightly older site with 100 pages and five more being added daily should not cause problems.

Don't worry about it too much, decide how you're going to build your site and how many links you need to beat the competition and then plan your schedule.

Keep links varied to some extent and build with some consistency over time, don't just build 100 links then stop for 4 weeks, better to start with a small amount and then you can increase the amount you build each week.

Really depends on your site and how tough the competition is though.
