Commenting on old blog posts

If I comment on an old blog post to place a backlink, will it still give me the same effect as if I had commented on a post that is only a day old?

  • It should "count" the same (to search engines), even better if that blog post has gained PR over that timeframe. But I often don't comment on old blog posts, because oftentimes the blog owner has to approve/moderate comments, and doesn't want to deal with comments on old posts. Also it is possible that Google won't re-crawl that blog post for a while, so your backlink would take longer to show up.

    • SE bots dont care on date posted ) But there is problem is it can been not approved because it is autoblog or smth and admin dont visit panel.
