Blog is PR4, yet posts don't show in Google Alerts

I'm in a fairly non-competitive local market - my blog ranks great, and I'm fairly consistent about posting manually (no autoblog sh1t) and yet none of my posts which always contain one keyword phrase show up on Google Alerts.
And yes, I have an alert for that exact keyword phrase.
Anyone have any ideas as to what's up with that?
I backlink my backlinks and RSS the crap out of my posts, so I'm getting the social media coverage, etc.
Also, my posts show in Google Bookmarks within minutes of being posted.
So why don't they show in Google Alerts?
