A Cool Wordpress Plugin For SEO

Is anyone else here aware of the SEO Title Tag plugin? Basically it allows you to add title tags to any blog post you want, rather than it defaulting to using the post name as the title. It's convenient in that you can design your post title for your readers, while designing your page title for search engines, rather than trying to please both (obviously your title tags should still be relevant to what you have on the page).

You can check it out here:

I have installed the plug-in and never activated it. I still don't understand why I need to titles - one for reader and the other for Search engine.

It just gives you the option of optimizing your title tag for search engines (ie: by using your keywords in the title tag of the page), while still being able to use a catchy title for your readers. In other words, a post title that's optimized well might not be the most appealing title to your actual readers, and vice versa. With the plugin, you can benefit from SE optimization and still be compelling to human readers.

Try activating it and adding some of your keywords into your title tags and it may help you understand.

      • I like to use the All in One SEO Plugin. It automatically optimizes your post titles for search engines and generates meta tags automatically (title, keywords and description).

Your can search for it at wordpress.org
