I am totally shocked. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I write an article on hub pages on a keyword that gets 170 searches a day. It's a long tail keyword.

I used 1 site that Google seems to spider every second lol. Within 35-40 minutes tops I checked the article URL in Google with both quotes, and intext: and there it was. Google spidered the site and picked up my article.

I then checked the keyword and there I was. On the first page, 7th position.

I am just amazed at how fast I got indexed. This is the 2nd time that's happened, but the first time for a decent keyword.

Ok, 170 might not seem like a lot but rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat. I think even if I stuck related products in the article I am likely to make a couple $$$ if I put a good few articles out there and got them ranking.

Anyone had this happen before? Hubpages seems mighty powerful.

Yes. Then it disappeared. Then it came back again, still on the first page, a few days later. Actually I have seen it several times. Don't be surprised on disappointed if it goes away. It will probably come back! Keep building links right now, too. That seems to help.

Will do. I'll keep backlinking at a natural pace to ensure it moves upwards.

Very nice. Hubpages is pretty good about getting picked up quickly by Google. Because of this I use it as one of my first backlinks for a new link I'm trying to get indexed.

Same as Squidoo. This is happened due to high ranks of those web 2.0 sites. Your quality content also helped to rank it well. Now You can make more backlinks to keep #1 position for a long time.

Yup that's Hubpages for you! Always fast to get your article indexed by Google and ranked. From my experience I wouldn't keep your hopes up about the position as Google may put it through the dance soon but just keep building those backlinks like everyone has said before me. Good luck!

Guys, I am certain it's the site I am posting to that gets it indexed and ranked. Obviously Hubpages is the key, but I am getting discovered because of the site I use to get the first backlink.

I just done it again with a very competitive pregnancy keyword. Took 30 minutes to write the article. I published it, added the link to a new profile on the site I put my backlink on and within 3 minutes .... yes! 3 minutes ... I am indexed and ranking on 2nd page.

The keyword has a lot more competition from some big names so even to get on 2nd page so quickly is good.

I can't give away the site that I use to get links because people will bombard it and it will kill my success. But it can be done with any high authority site that google spiders on a constant basis.

I am going to write 10-20 articles today, rinse and repeat. Use bookmarking demon to build some backlinks and see what the results yield in a week or 2.
