Best Way To Survive Google's Recent (And Future) Changes...

Hey Warriors,

I am seeing a lot of posts recently all saying similar things:

"Ezine articles are clamping down"

"My articles have lost their listings"

"Site XYZ is deleting my content"

I just wanted to impart some advice if you are looking for direction in the midst of this Google Slap.

Firstly you should feel good you are about to learn something that many, myself included, take a long time to learn.

"You will only get LIMITED success from growing OTHER people's businesses."

Why are you doing this?

To work for someone else online as long as it is not your CURRENT boss?

Then I ask you what has changed?

If you are trying to build an online business then JUST DO IT!

Sorry that sounded a bit corny - can you imagine if a company had a catchphrase "JUST DO IT"? :p

Anyway here is the point:

Build your OWN sites and provide content for them and use the other sites such as Ezine, hubpages to boost the views for YOUR original content.

Then when this happens again of course it will effect you in some way but it will not BREAK you!

Just my 2 pence.

Chris

Great strategy and you are dead on. My blog has been around for a while. I would rather write a blog post for my blog, than submit it to an article directory anyday.

Like you said use Hubpages, ezinearticles.com, etc.... Just to bring more traffic to your blog, or website. And for backlinks, etc... Oh! Do not forget to build a mailing list very important!

I think networking and building a team is very important to stay on top of this industry. Having a team with experience and unique specialties that compliment you can do amazing things.

Building a network of people in high positions can also benefit you in the short and long term. Always keep good relations with people =)

Spot on ^ the mailing list is the key as well - it is an awesome way to make the most out of your work and build a relationship with people in your niche.

Agree with that as long as it is built on strong foundations.

Of course it does NOT need to be but you will have to keep moving a lot more

Ezine and sites of the like have their uses. I used to build content for Ezine and only them. The difference now is I rewrite my own site's posts and submit them to ezine and lots of other sites for a little bit of traffic and juice.

But yes heed this advice. I used to hear marketers always go on and on about building your own brand and site but it fell on deaf ears. I'd just send traffic through Ezine or wherever to a landing page I was embarrassed to tell anyone I knew about.

Now I build my own sites up and I'm proud of the work I've put into ON SITE content, and it shows.

And yeah, definitely have a list in place from the get go.

If you have an email list you will never be dependent on google! I think everyone can agree that you shouldn't just depend on google for your money. Start figuring out other sources of traffic.

      Well said
Stop bitchin and get to moving
      Stop talking and start doing
STOP buying WSOs and START doing something with the ones you bought.

Understand that the BEST source of traffic comes from the ones that CONVERT the most and if that changes? Welcome to life.

The only way someone can SLAP you is if you stand in their face.
So Google can't slap a moving target. And don't depend on anything but change and adaptation equating to your overall evolving.

In other words don't worry about that foot in your a$$
Only the positioning that brought it there and possible repetition of your mistakes.

      Fail Fast Forward.

I've been keeping an eye on things and for the most part, Ezine, ArticlesBase, ArticleAlley and StreetAticles appear to have survived the alogrithm.
