Just out of curiosity... if no backlinking is done and no pinging and nothing else done to notify search engines about your new site... would adding Google Analytics prompt Google to crawl/index your site?

No, I don't think it will as much as setting up your webmaster tools account with google and submitting your site maps to them.

I have been quietly working in the Internet Marketing industry for over 10 years and have become an expert in driving traffic and SEO tactics. I have a new site all about niche marketers and I would love for you to check it out. Don't worry, this site is all about free content, not a sales page.

I tried that on a few websites and what works is adding a sitemap manually or if using wordpress use the sitemap plugins. be sure to use socialmarker.com. I usually use those 2 methods - post them at night and wake up finding sites being indexed.

Alright cool - I wanna see where a couple sites I just made land without really doing any backlinking. I pinged and that didn't really do anything yet but went ahead and added to analytics as well as webmaster tools with a sitemap

    Thanks for the confirmation!

No it doesn't make a bit of a difference. What will get you indexed faster is pinging (which is done automatically with a blog every time you make a post) and continuously posting. The more google sees you updating, the more often it sends spiders to your blog.

The fastest way is to write and article and submit it to a couple of hundred article directories. You can have a brand new website or blog indexed in minutes that way as well as any new pages on an old blog or webpage.

I added my sitemap manually to google for one of my sites and was indexed within minutes... it was weird and may have just been a coincidence....

I also heard this Info before, and it was said that not ony Google Analytics but also Google webmaster can make site indexed fastly. I don't know whether it is true. however, you can use other ways to make your site indexed fastly such as RSS submit or Sitemap submit or get links from high PR websites.
