SEO question about choosing domain name

I'm trying to pick some domain names for some business directories.

For the sake of an example, let's assume I'm going to build a directory of Dallas churches. Naturally, the phrase I want to rank for is "Dallas church"

So here's the question- for my domain name, should I choose something like dallaschurches.com or should I go with dallastexaschurches.com?

By adding the word texas, my thought is I would also potentially capture people searching for the phrase "texas church."

However, would this dilute the effectiveness of my site ranking for the term "dallas church?"

dallaschurch or dallaschurches, dallas-churches, whatever it is, would probably be best for ranking in dallas. I would try to create another one for texas churches.

dallaschurches.com is fine. Use churches, dallas and texas in title, metatags, content and description. build subpages like: dallaschurches.com/texas.html ...for backlinks use combinations: Churches in texas: dallas... you will soon rank for both keywords. I am doing this all the time
