What if keyword gets 22k searches but 98% foreign?

I'm thinking about going after this keyword that I could easily rank for but almost all the traffic is from Russia/Taiwan/Indonesia etc.

It gets 22k global searches and only about 400 local. Will my adsense and Amazon products convert for that audience? Will my site even show up on their side or will they see only Russian sites that are related to that keyword?

    Why not just try and flip the domain? You could do it on the cheap with google translator, or just outsource it to someone on that side of the world on odesk or the like.

    Go ahead and grab that.. You may do well with adsense but with Amazon, only 400 will be considered... Yea, flip the domain once it gets good traffic and baclinks, especially with earnings.

    the site will show up for sure in Russian Google if the keword is in other language than Russian
