This is a place for you guys to share how you reached the first page/place on Google.

I personally am very interested to learn someones experience and I will appreciate any opportunity to try new techniques and hear new tipson this thread.

I just discovered that my site is on the first place of the first page in Google. I almost dropped myself from the chair. I was working on my site for two months using a special technique (not a promotion effort) but never expected to reach a 1-st page so soon. I am a newby in SEO because I am too busy with article writing business and don't have enough time for SEO but I found that doing SEO for my websites is more like an exciting game on my spare time.

Most of all I love finding great domain names which could be still found after hungry big guys bought all domains out and now sell them for 1000-3000 bucks each.

This is what I've done for my site:

Found a domain name using Google keyword tool
Created a Wordpress static site (I believe it's the best choice for new site's SEO)
Downloaded some seo Plugins
Uploaded more than 200 pinging URLs on my Wordpress
Left my site's links on more than 50 sites including social, .orgs, engines and doman selling sites.
And did some other things.

I know my keyword is not to much competitive but i am looking for new ways to reach the first page with other keywords and i feel it will be a tough task for me.

I feel there is a bunch of savvies on Warrior who can share some value. The discussion itself would be a great help for me and other newbies who will come across this thread.

I was stuck on the second page until I used Market Samurai to find my competitors back links. I wasn't able to duplicate all of them, but the ones I did get moved me into spot #4 on page 1.

Yes . pretty easy to do if you do good keyword research but don't be fooled - more competitive terms take time.

      Edit
: forgot to say how I do it. Like I said good keyword research WITH competition analysis of the first page results, followed by optimizing the pages for those keywords (using both the keywords and related words) then press releases at the same time I do a few book marks etc. Then followed by real link building from in content link opportunities and higher Pr pages etc. The last step requires more than just throwing backlinks through a tool around and is the real way to build rank in high competition search results.

I am very close to a thought that I will buy good domain names in future. Almost all my domains contain a dash. I wonder- does it influence the keyword effectiveness? I believe- it doesn't.

I used Market Samurai for a trial period but I realised that all their information was taken from Google and I could find it for free.
I might have missed the option that enables me to find competitors backlinks. It looks like really usefull tool. Thanks

I reach the first page for various terms by building a squidoo lens, and then getting an outsourcer to blast it with thousands of backlinks. This could be bad for your own site but works wonderfully with squidoo because they have a high trust factor.

Instead of being sandboxed the lens rises like a rocket. I've done this with articles as well.

So you outsourced backlinks for your Squidoo page, not for your website?
If so, I have to confess- it's a great Idea.

I always like that feeling when you realize you hit the first page. It never gets old, especially when you hit number 4 and above! I've got the holy grail numero uno with seven websites and countless sub-pages.

It feels good. Here's what I do with each site.

I use 100 percent original content written by me. For two of my sites I post daily and mere minutes after I make a post Google has already indexed the article.

I outsource ALL of my backlinking, which includes varied methods. Contextual links, Homepage links, Profile Links, Web 2.0 Links, Blog Commenting links.

I also run my own network of pumper sites for each major website I run (currently three). My micro-niche sites just get the regular outsourced links, but the big-boy sites get more love.

On top of the seven sites I currently have up and running (monetized with different methods) I just started a Google news site. I'm hoping to get inclusion as the rumored traffic I heard you receive from having one is insane.

If its as big of a success as its touted I don't think I'll ever build another non-news site again.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

    Hi
On December 2010 I build 15 micro niche websites for Adsense and they are all now in Top 10 Google US ( 3 of them are in spot 1 with more than 5000 search/month US .
Here is my tactics for that:

    1) I use IBP (Google it for more information) for ON-page SEO to compare my website and competitors websites.

2)I use SCRAPEBOX to scrape backlinks of my competitors and I try the get the same backlink and that’s work well for me (Am in the way of writing a little e-book about this tactic and you will find it in WSO next week ).

    3) I use the free service of ONLYWIRE to bookmark all my links and ping theme again with SCRAPEBOX.

    4) I write one article/blog and after I spin all this articles with THE EBST SPINNER to get theme unique for 40 % and after I add all this articles to articles directory to get good backlinks (I use this service for spinner hackzul: I will spin your article in The Best SPINNER with at least 40 percent uniqueness and grammar checking for $5 at Fiverr.com)

That’s all what I do to get my websites in #1.

I hope that does tactics can help some other warriors.

For bigger longtherm projects i buy premier domains. My most expensive domain was 2000 Usd. I use such domains to build high content, free download pages. They go viral very fast and hit number 1 on google usally in 6 months( targeting keywords with 50 - 100 000 searches)... traffic is about 20 000 unique visitors/month.. and about 100 - 120k pageviews... adsense and other advertising is paying me the domain costs back between 12 - 24 months... and the main goal is... i use this autorithy pages as a hub for traffic to my salesletter/product pages...

i bought products with salesletters up to 10 000 usd.. and could make a break even under 12 months whit this strategy( giving away freebees on my autorithy site). I don't invest much in seo. 2 -3 oneway backlinks from autorithy sites. that's all, rest is viral.

In a later stage i change the free download page in a membership site.

Do you want to say that two elephants your strategy's based upon are very good domain name and free downloads? Do you create those freebies yourself or use smth like PLR? It's not so easy to find freebies that really work.
Do you sell affiliate products on your product pages or create smth unique?
It seems like somewhat unique but affordable strategy, thanks.

I've got something new from you and thanks for that.
      # I will learn more about Internet Business Promote (IBP);
      # Never heard about SCRAPEBOX
      # I use Onlywire too;
      # I like the idea with The Best Spinner for Article directories, although the price for articles, spun by TBS is pretty high. We give 100 spun articles as a free bonus for every customer who orders at least 10 manually written articles at our service. By the way we charge $5 for 500w article written by hand.

Could you please come back to this thread and share your secrets on Adsence business? I am sure you have more to say. Everybody wants to have a hands down business for life
