How Can You Locate Sites That Allow "Commenting"?

hello warriors,

I check the backlinks of some sites and notice their backlinks
are from commenting on other blogs. No biggie I understand I think we all
know this as a method of seo

How can I locate sites that specifically allow commenting?
There must be some search criteria "trick"?

And if possible within my sites subject matter or similar?

I could really use some direction!

Here's a few to get you started

"leave a *" "responses so far" -closed
"post a *" "responses so far" -closed
"leave a *" "*mail" "name" -closed
"post a *" "*mail" "name" -closed
"leave a *" "comment" "name" -closed
"post a *" "comment" "name" -closed
"leave a *" "(will not be published)" "name" -closed
"post a *" "(will not be published)" "name" -closed
"post a *" "comment" "*mail" -closed

type those in google

thank you very much walker!

do I "fill anything in" between the "quotations" ?
(sorry to be so dumb!) and do I just put a keyword
in front of all that (or a few) that it might bring me results
within the category are subject that I'm looking for?

Here is one I use sometimes "16 comments".

http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=%2216+comments%22

Change the number 16 to whatever number you want, as often as needed.

"16 comments"
"20 comments"
"22 comments"
"27 comments"
"33 comments"
etc...

Make sure to use quotes.

I found this to be extremely good. Good "conversions" regarding finding actual DO FOLLOW blogs... Give it a try.

Thanks for the info and goog search window!
I see (I believe) you can enter your search terms or keywords

in there a way to incorporate any string that would likely return blogs (specifically, or if they are in the "mix" that's better than nothing)
that likely have their "comments" section "receptive" to new comments?

instead of one who's comments are closed or require approval?

What I do is pretty similar to walksonthebeach.
Type "your keyword" + "notify me of follow up" in Google.
Usually I like to add on a date such as 2011 just to ensure that the comment section is relatively current so that the comments would actually be seen and approved. Otherwise, most comments from posts 2 years ago or however long would probably never see the light of day.
