Adwords Account Suspended; Adsense implications?

Hi, my adwords account was suspended last night with no warning, which I found strange since I never actually activated a campaign with them, literally 0 impressions across all keywords.

I did have a campaign paused, but it was linking to my site which is currently filled with articles about Satellite Direct, but no outbound links to them. I setup the campaign as a test and never activated it.

I have sent an email(?) via their support section, but am yet to hear back from them.

This in itself doesn't worry me so much, as if I ever want to USE adwords for anything it won't be for that domain and if I do not get un-suspended it shouldn't be that hard to just "be someone else" if I absolutely have to (or just use other ad networks).

The real crux of my concern is this; I have websites setup using Google Adsense to monetize and I'm concerned that my suspension from Adwords will somehow impact my Adsense account.

Does anyone have any experience with this, are the accounts so seperate that I shouldn't worry?

    First sentence: You meant Adwords?

Happened to me too, also in a time where I had all my campaigns paused. Find out whether the pausing campaigns were in any way against the guidelines.

I can't give you specific advice but it's generally a good idea to ask in forums get an idea what the real problem is before you contact the Adwords team. (You run the risk of getting in the autopilot circle).

Yes indeed I did mean Adwords

Seems pretty insane, the website the paused ad was point at MIGHT have been in contradiction to their T&S (pretty subjective imo) but if I could speak to a google rep (... how does one DO this?!) I would argue that I literally never had the campaign live and that it only existed to test how to make an ad and only STILL existed as I'd forgotten to delete it...

But again, tbh unless I get SUPER into PPC I'm just not going to worry about it. Besides, if I do get super into PPC, I'll just assume a different identity if I have to.

Is creating a pseudonym to use immoral? Possibly. Less immoral than running a newbie out of your service on a single strike with no warning based on an advert that no human but myself had ever seen? Definitely.

Don't speak to a Googler before you've implemented the changes. In other words, you can only tell them that you understand what you did and corrected everything. Research what you did wrong.

If you go ahead and ask them to tell you what to change, you'll get answers from the auto-responder only and not get through.

Happened to me too last week, I had a few paused campaigns that were not active since September.

I sent an email to support and this was a part of their response:

"WHY SUSPENDED NOW AS ADS WERE PAUSED

Paused ads will still be reviewed based on our guidelines. Pausing or deleting ads related to the disabled sites will not automatically re-enable the ads nor remove the violation history."

          "WHY NO WARNING

Although Google regularly warns advertisers whose accounts may be in violation of our policies, we reserve the right to suspend accounts without warning in cases where the behavior is considered an egregious violation."

Seemed strange to me, but it's how it is .

          Adsense account was not suspended.

I can almost guarantee that the product you were going to advertise (Satellite Direct) is the reason for the suspension.

Seriously, did you not do any research on that... it's a crap product that doesn't work as advertised and has blatant lies on the sales page.

You can bet your ass Google will know about that site and just nuke any account that even attempts to advertise it.

And for the most part, rightfully so!

Your adwords suspension should not affect your adsense application or use, as for the way they suspend / give notice ?

Google operates in a much more segregated way than people realize. The Adwords team probably doesn't (maybe even can't) know whether you even have an Adsense account or not.

This actually concerned me too. I lost my AdWords account a few weeks ago, and like you, didn't really care for the account too much anyway.

But I was worried if my AdSense account would be affected, and so far, so good.

Glad I found this thread. The same thing happened to me and I was worried about my Adsense account. I haven't used my Adwords account in over 3 years so it is no surprise it has been suspended.
