How long a link stays 4 Permanent Juice

I have been doing this for awhile and know a lot about backlinks but I never really knew or heard how long a backlink has to stay for you to get permanent juice from it. I mean say I have a link on a PR 6 site and they remove the link after a month, do I lose that juice or is it permanent after it get's indexed? Anyone know?

You need permanent link to get permanent juice.

If you LOSE backlinks, google doesn't like that very much, you might be worse off than you were before getting the backlink. You will lose all juice. And since a high PR page, once had you linked, but no longer does, that devalues your site a little bit.

backlink age can be one of the criteria google use. So make sure you get permanent backlinks.
