    Hi,
I also have some .info's, one of which is in the top 10, but I think .com's are easier to rank highly.

i have also seen a few .info websites ranking in the search results. With this even .info's can also get good ranks.

As we know, .info domain have also good position in search engine but .com's domain is easy to rank in search engine results.

unless it's a really low competition niche, I've never had much luck with .info domains.

We have some .info's, but haven't sat down to do any detailed analysis on whether they're as effective as the .com/.org/.net's. Has anyone seen any legitimate studies done on this?

We were thinking about buying some of the .info's for successful sites we currently have and doing a comparison, keeping them absolutely separate, but someone could definitely save me the time/money by pointing me to some good analysis and I'd be grateful! :-)

.com's are definitely easier, but I do have some .info's that are doing quite well in the SERPs...

I have used both .infos and .coms and in my experience .coms have been much easier to rank. Also my experience has been that .coms tend to "Google Dance" less than .infos. I know there are many threads on the debate on TLDs, but this is just my personal experience.

Guys, .com is not different than any other domain extension. It is just as easy to rank a .biz .us .info .me in the search engines. They don't discriminate over the domain extension.

I have #1-3 rankings with .info

The only bad thing about not having a .com, is human discrimination. That is all.

I know there are a lot of people that believe that all extensions are the same, it is just speaking from personal experience.

I too have .infos that have #1 rankings, I have just noticed that for some reason it has been my experience that rankings seem a bit harder to come by with .infos, so I just spring the extra $10 or whatever for a .com domain.

Also like you said, there is a human discrimination factor to consider, especially in the future if you want to sell your website, a .info will be much harder to sell than a .com.
