This is getting annoying!

Hey guys,

I have an affiliate site (not too big but have pages there to make it ok) and it is a few months old.

I have promoted it very well off page and on page and it has ranked #5-#6 on Google.

Now, Google have decided to vanish it and now it is gone. It sometimes comes back again to the same place on Google (#5,#6) for a day or a couple of hours and then gone again for a few days or more.

This is really annoying, it kills all the good traffic I used to been getting to the site and I don't think this is the dance, is it?

I have another site that this happened to before and it hasn't stopped with that site, been going on for over 3 months now.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
#annoying

Its called Google Dance! Get more quality backlinks and if possible go for authority links in your niche that will help you to further stabilize and improve your rankings.

You need to realize Google does not owe you anything or care about you and your traffic levels.

There is constant work that is needed to maintain rankings and always expect that someone else is trying to outrank you at any given time...

I understand, the thing is that no one outranks me. It's the same old sites that were there before are there after as well just a spot up when my site disappears from spot #5. When I'm back I'm again there.

Any reason why he took over that site? Anyone else had this annoying dance? Like I said, I have another site that it's more than 3 months now, that's some kind of dance don't you think?

It's happened to my sites too. Just keep building links, and eventually google will decide where your site belongs. It does get a bit frustrating though...

You have zero authority. What do you expect google to do with
a confessed affiliate site? Your results are typical.

Please note: Not saying affiliate sites always get ping-ponged.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

        Hey Paul,

How do you become an authority? You have to start small and then grow with time and promotion.

I understand I need to keep building links and hopefully Google will stop vanishing my site, no?

Do you remember how long did it take until Google stopped "dancing" with your sites?

      Thanks,
