Are Scrapebox and Xrummer dead after google new algorithm?
If so, why are these SEO services still running?
#search engine optimization #dead #scrapebox #xrummer
  • Not entirely sure what you mean. Can you still use scrapebox and xrumer to create links -yes.

Are they effective - only google knows.

    • What about the people who use these services and get results?

No, they are not dead. They are both alive and well.

      As you were.
  • No it isn't dead... Effective? Maybe not so much, but maybe.
  • Because they are not dead
  • sooner or later but scrapebox has a lot of features is worth it beside the comment poster , other features are useful
  • Banned
let me give you are simple answer...nothing is dead...with google's new update...google gives value to the sites which has a good amout of backlink....I still use scrape-box and it works pretty fine for me,,,
  • No, they are definitely not dead!

All you have to do now, is to find better quality sites to post your back links onto..

    Its pretty simple..
  • Thanks for replying everyone
I will keep using these services
  • Yes. It's dead. Scrapebox is no longer effective. Move along now.

    • Interesting that you're still selling urls list for Scrapebox.

  • Yes, my post was definitely sarcasm.

Tools like Scrapebox and Xrumer can be effective. Just don't generate thousands of links in one day and zero the next. Mix Scrapebox / Xrumer into your other link building campaigns. Instead of "blasting" away at thousands of sites a day, stick to a lower number. 50,100, etc, depending on the age of your website and how many backlinks you already have.

Slow and steady wins the race.
  • I'm sure they both are still effective. I just don't find them very useful and I get annoyed myself with all the spam so I don't see the need in using those tools when other methods work better for me and do not piss off people.
  • The new Google Algorithym does not have a large impact on these link softwares actually. I have ranked and still rank sites exclusively using these softwares. Ofcourse I incorporate Article Submission, Social bookmarks, and much more, but I have ranked various sites using just Xrumer or just Scrapebox. I just ranked a site last week using just a 5k blast of Xrumer for a adsense CPC 3.18 word with 6k exact searches. It is making me around $7-10 every day right now.
  • They aren't dead they aren't just being talked about recently. I will still use it and it should be used consistently.
  • Everything is dead. Product launches, adsense sites, Scrapebox, EZA, SEO, PPC, and the Warrior Forum too. It's like living amongst zombies.

    • It is too early to tell but the fact people are making enquiries should suggest something. We will know for sure in 6 months time.
    • Right on....

  • They won't die so soon.. haha people has paid lot of money for such softwares and even if they don't work some other software will come. Anyway to answer your question I never used any of those softwares because i never felt it necessary but one of my close friend is always a software maniac and just for a test he did it on a 1 month old not in use domain and the domain ranked on page 1 for just 1 blast.

    • I'm assuming the keywords he ranked for had low competition? I've found the same results with low comp KW's. Low comp doesn't necessarily mean low income from the site.
  • Why would they suddenly stop working? They are only tools that automate the linkbuilding process.

Google's algorithm can't see what tools you are using to build links. All Google can see is a footprint that you leave across many websites while using those tools. It's only naturally for Google to take a common instance of text, HTML, etc. and say "Hey, this looks like spam on this site, let's compare it with the billions of others in our database and see if it shows up a lot."

No, Scrapebox and Xrumer aren't dead, just those people who fail to understand that they can't use the default settings and spam to their hearts content and expect it to still be effective.

Minimize your footprints and use some imagination and you'll survive any algorithm change.

    • If you have a good lists or you are able to find good blogs to comment, Scrapebox works great for you. If you can't find good blogs is not working good and Google's algorithm change has nothing to do with it.

I can say that 57$ I spent on Scrapebox it was one of the greatest investments in my life. Even if comments will not work anymore, I still have about 20 addons (including chess - it teaches patience SO needed in seo) that help everyone who has anything to do with SEO.
    • Exactly.

They are link building softwares costing around $600 together, many people provide these services on this forum.

  • i don't think you understand the recent google updates, they where more targeted at low quality / low rent sites sitting high up the serp's providing no content back to the visitors. Google, with the farmer update has once again upped it's required quality, like all other updates. This update targeted onsite quality, the last large update, targeted links.

This was really to be expected, If you build quality links, and quality sites the only thing you'll be obsessing over when google updates come out is how much better your rankings get =)

    • I'm not sure if your post was dedicated to me, but I think I understand changes, of course as much as it possible with own tests and SERP's observations. I did some tests and I can say Scrapebox still works for me. It's just a tool, you decide how to use it and if it helps you or not. I always say that most important factor in SEO is man and his mind

  • Where to buy huge list of auto-approve do follow blogs?
  • It's very well alive I tell ya.

Because of ScrapeBox, I had made $600 so far this month on ClickBank.

So now you realize its automation power.
  • The algorithm only affected content farms and scraper sites.
Scrapebox and Xrumer are both used for a different type of link building.
So no reason why the new algo change should have affected them.
