Google Analytics Substitute?

I'm in the process of making my second site and have a couple questions regarding this -

1. What's a good substitute for Google Analytics?

2. Should I still submit a sitemap for this new site? Won't Google be able to track my websites if I have them registered under one account? <- This is primarily why I'm asking these questions because I heard Google, if they see your backlinking strategy as manipulative, will hit all of your sites.
