Keyword searching - Google Sniper. Has global monthly 22 views. Is it good? Help!

If you do target the keyword phrase, I would include it with a "portfolio" of related keyword phrases.

Something that gets searched for just 22 times a month is less than 1 search a day.

Actually, I change my mind. Move on to higher searched keywords. They may be more competitive, but you will actually be able to monetize the traffic.

don't be afraid to go for keywords with some competition to them. There are some big ones out there in competitive niches where you can pick up some good traffic just from the long tail. Just be sure to build a good content rich site and SEO intelligently and you can grab a piece of those higher competition keywords.

Funny enough I just wrote an article about this today it has not even been accepted by Ezine yet this is some of the infomation I wrote. "Ultimately you want to have a range from 2,500 – 2,500,000 to be competitive. The Google Keyword Tool tells you how many times someone has put those words into Google and searched on them. Now click on the word or phrase you would like to use in AdWords. Google will open and under the search box is a number which is the number of times that Google has found that word on the internet. This number should be between 2,500-2,500,000. If the number is too great then the market is saturated and you will not have much success."

When I started with sniper sites and often came to a blank. One of the best tools that gave me inspiration was using Google wonder wheel tool on the left hand side of your search.

Also change six pack to 6 pack or washboard etc.

Don't spend too much time on 1 niche if it is difficult just move to another. You are starting off with a difficult one which George even discusses six pack abs in Gsniper1 meaning many will also be after this.

Hope this helps but make sure your keyword research is right before starting or you will either not rank or you will rank and get no traffic,either way you will not continue.

Okay, so would their be a lot of competition if I find a keyword that has more than 4,000 a month?

You'd do well to pretty much totally ignore the common misconception that the so-called "competition", keyword in quotes metric is actually useful, it really isn't.

Just because Google is finding those words, in that order, does not indicate how well placed they are to affect SEO AT ALL.

Also, don't believe people that say that Page Rank is really useful either, it's only updated every few months, so more useful at certain times of the year, right after an update, than at others.

You'll have a lot more success in SEO if you research SEOmoz SEO metrics such as page authority, domain authority, and Mozrank (their alternative to Page Rank that's updated a lot more often).

Download the Mozbar which will show you these metrics for any website, and for the top 10 search engine rankings. They also distinguish between links that pass juice and those that don't, remember that the web decays very quickly.

The Mozbar and SEOmoz metrics are infinitely more useful than going by "competition" and Page Rank, and Yahoo Site Explorer link counts.
