i have a client who has a site with a page rank of 2.. He only has about 20 back links.. This is the first client in which i don't have to make a blog..They already have a site.. My question.. how do i preserve page rank on the pages... I know word press has a pages option. but is site is structured with HTML files.. for example one of his pages has a pr of 2. http//domainname/beats.html
with word press its like this http//domainname/beats.. Should i just stick with seo for his stactic site or is there a way i can convert it into a word press blog without losing the page rank

Thanks

  • Why don't you keep the same website structure and install a wordpress blog in a different folder called blog ?

    EG: www. mysite .com /blog

The additional part is blog only. No current URLs are changed and no rank fluctuation in Google will happen.

    • wow that was simple.. thanks for the wake call man.. that makes complete sense...
  • Yes I would like to stick to what sijugk suggested. You can make the blog as an inner page of the website, the power of the homepage will also be shared as juice from the homepage. That is the way to go.
