AdSense "Search the Web" Instead of Ad...?

On a lot of websites I visit that have AdSense, I am noticing the following
being displayed, instead of the ad:


Is this happening to you? Is it affecting your CTR / Earnings?

    • I don't know what it is, man. It's popping up randomly in places where there is normally an AdSense ad.

      By the way, I do not have any AdSense back up ads set. I'm simply
      displaying adsense and that's it.

      The following site is NOT my site, but shows what is happening on my site,
      along with many other people's sites.
