Does this apply with TOS?

Hey fellas, the title says it all - would you say that this blog:

stresssymptomer.com

applies with googles rules ?

I'm thinking with regards to picture placement above the ads and the link unit being placed close to navigational links.

???

  • I think you've already answred your own question!

    Bottom line is it's you who will get banned and lose your Adsense account not anyone else on this forum. Therefore it's you who have to make the decisions on your own website.

    If you think its against the TOS then it probably is.

    If you plan to have business model that depends on you "flying close to the wind" with regards to Adsense TOS it will be a short lived business.

    Google TOS are ambiguous or unclear for the most part, which means they are free to interperet them as they please. Make the odd genuine mistake and your unlikely to be benched but if your sites are generally NOT complying with the SPIRIT of the TOS the first human review will see you closed down.

    In my opinion the two areas you mention Ads/links next images and navigation are pretty clear in the TOS and accompanying examples.

    If it's your intention to make one look like the other (or part of the other) then your on dodgy ground.

      Thanks. This made me decide to get more clear on understanding the TOS.

      You're right, its my own bussines and I have to make the right decisions and avoid being banned.

      I am not out to cheat google or their advertiser. I want to play by the rules!

      The guidelines seem unclear as to the information I have been able to find. I did however discover that images directly above/next to/or below ads is a NO GO (glad i found that out

      Still i havent been able to find anything on "link units".

      My thougts on this is that as they are LINKS and not direct advertisements, it would be okay to have them appear above or bellow a picture, or close to navigational links (as longs as they are distinguishable from the navigational links)

      As I said, I havent been able to find guidelines for "link units", are they different from those concerning direct ads, or do the same guidelines apply ?

      Can anyone enlighten me on this ?
