Ok so here is the plan.

I want to have a site that earns £100 a day through adsense within next 6 months. I hope that posting my progress here in this thread and getting egged on by fellow warriors that I will be there in time

I have already made progress and created a health related article directory that is specifically aimed at the UK with hand picked authors.

The site was created on Wednesday 24th February 2011 and so is already 4 weeks old. It is a wordpress site and is a .co.uk

I already have the following in place:

  • 125 articles published on the site
  • 112 registered authors – note, quite a few of these are inactive
  • Twitter following of 2250
  • 6 Facebook likes
  • Adsense ads
  • New articles are getting crawled and indexed in minute

So far, this is how much I have made:

  • Wk 1 = £1.48 (partial week)
  • Wk 2 = £4.82
  • Wk 3 = £6.50
  • Wk 4 = £3.51 (partial week)

What I have planned for the next week:

  • Write 2 keyword articles per day for the site
  • Figure out how to get articles/posts to appear automatically on Facebook page
  • Reach 3000 twitter followers
  • Reach 200 articles on the site.
  • Send out another 500 invitations to potential authors
  • Find out how to get more targeted facebook likes
Any helpful tips, wise words or general egging on will be much appreciated

Looks like a pretty good plan, but are you sure it's worth bothering with article marketing in light of Google's panda / farmer update?

      Hey spectrecom,

      Thanks for your post.

I am not too worried at all by Google's panda / farmer update as nearly all of the content on our site is unique as I have hand picked authors that are not traditional IM's.

There is a wordpress plugin that everytime you post on your blog/site it also updates your facebook, just search it via wordpress dashboard, that will sort that problem out!!

      Thanks guys...

Ok, for a little update. I have done so far:
This was a biggy for me as a few weeks ago when I was looking I just could find a solution. Now it's all fixed.

Any ideas how I get loads of facebook 'likes' on a tight budget?

        So, here's a little update!

Here is how much I have made so far:
        • Wk 1 = £1.48 (partial week)
        • Wk 2 = £4.82
        • Wk 3 = £6.50
        • Wk 4 = £5.40
        I am up to:
        • 166 articles
        • 36 followers on facebook
        • 2361 followers on twitter
My only gripe is that I didn't get any clicks over the weekend, but I did get a couple yesterday.

While I am only getting between 1-4 clicks a day and with the odd day doing nothing, it seems hard to get motivated, but I am hanging in there!

This week I need to work on getting links and traffic to the site. I don't have a budget, so will be doing all the work myself.

Here is my plan for the next week...
        • 5 forum links per day
        • 5 blog comments links per day
Any wise words, tips and advice would be gratefully recieved

You're making nice progress with the content. Keep pushing the quality content and you'll be making money sooner than you think. Good luck.

      Thanks Mike!

I have just sent out a nice email to our authors asking for more content

I think that 200 by the end of the week it more than achieveable!

I have set the goal for April to have 500 articles published

I guess most of your traffic came from Facebook, so besides adding website's contents to your facebook, maybe you should add more contents, share news in your niche, hot topic on the Facebook, etc.

Looks like a great plan. I love to see more guys taking risks and stepping out of their comfort zone. The best thing on the challenge is the possibility to improve your skill and ability.

I will be watching out for coming updates. Thanks for sharing your strategy!

    Best wishes,

Yes, what ever happened to this case study? It has been almost a year now and it would be nice to find out if you hit your target or how well you did.
