My description on google is gone??

What the hell.. 3 weeks after having it up on google today the description dissapears. does anyone know what might have caused this?

It happened to 2 of my top sites..

  • Are you talking about the snippet? Is your site having any issues? If the site is slow, Google will bail and not read the snippet. They'll come back again, so don't worry.

    I'd check to see if there is anything going on with your server and if there are indexing issues.

    Could be a couple of things,

    1) Does your page include this tag, or similar "nosnippet" tag?

    2) Have you looked at your source code, does it still have a meta-description tag?
