Domain Google Banned?

I have been looking at purchasing various domains, but having issues telling if they are google banned or not.

I have accessed the google banned tool... but, it gives different result.

If I enter a domain with the www. in front of it, it comes back fine. If I add the www. it comes back saying its likely banned.

What gives? Which is correct?

So you put www. before and there's no problem and then...

    Isn't that the same thing?

Sorry I'm having a blonde moment but I'm totally lost on this one?

Sorry... meant to say basically that I am getting different results based on whether www. is placed in front of the domain name. I ran the google tool from several sites, same result.

To google domain.com and www.domain.com are two different sites.

It is possible that one could have a problem.

You can also check if your domain is still indexed using the command

        site:domain.com in the search box

No, don't be sorry. I just couldn't quite get my little brain round it!

I get it now. I'll have a look. Do you think it could be that it needs the www. in front before you test? Without just gives the banned result?

Do excuse me but I've not used this before, let me have a look now and I'll report back.

Which site did you use? Just now checked my site in Google Banned Checker Tool - iWEBTOOL.com with and without www. and it says may site is not banned. What was the tool/website you were using?

Did you check the history of the domain? Go to "archive.org" to determine its previous history. Also use the google the world "domain blacklist" and put your domain name on the search bar. If your domain has been banned before you've bought it, you can send a letter to the website that blacklisted it and tell them that you're the new owner and would like to remove it from their blacklists. However, this process is very time consuming and sometimes frustrating. Just keep contacting them and show them that the domain is now in good hands.
