ArticlesBase seems to rank pretty well (or did, before the recent algorithm change; no idea what the situation is now, to be honest).

But are you sure this approach—one of leveraging another site's authority to rank your content— is one you really wish to take? Especially in light of the recent Google algorithm changes, which has seen the effectiveness of this approach diminish somewhat.

The fact is, Google sees these kinds of sites—non-niche focused sites which accept user-submitted content—as being "content farms". And apparently, it doesn't much favour sites with that label.

I would suggest that if more stable, long-term rankings are of any great importance to you, you rank your articles on your own sites—even if it takes a little more up-front backlinking effort. That way, even whilst nothing is guaranteed, you can take steps to ensure that your whole site better panders to Google's apparent preferences, and in doing so minimise the chances and likelihood of waking up one day to find that further algorithm changes have completely eradicated your article rankings on someone else's site (be it an article dirctory or otherwise).

Just another perspective to consider, anyway, from someone who has himself—in the very distant past—utilised this approach but, after a little bit more thought, came to realise that it wasn't exactly a sound, reliable, long-term practice on which to build one's business.

There are lots of Article Directories around but Ezine is still the best. Of course GoArticles is also a good one. Here some do follow and high pr free article directory submission sites:

If you're talking about article directories that can take on EZA,

They are Helium.com, Suite101.com and ArticlesBase.com (very good for SEO, ranks well even after the so-called Google Farmer Update).

Those 3 I have mentioned have millions of traffic each month. Check it at compete.com for yourself.

You can try with articlebase, articlesnatch, articledashboard, ideamarketers and goarticles, those 5 have very good seo efffects.
