SEO & Domain Forwarding

I know a guy who had 2 websites, similar in nature, for his business. He decided to forward one of his domains to the other so he just had one active website.

He claims that as soon as he did this, the site that he forwarded the domain to jumped up in rankings quite a bit. I told him that there is no way forwarding a domain will help with SEO. He disagrees.

Can anyone back me up on this?!

i did the exact same thing.... and my site lowered in the serps. However, if you forward to a aged domain, you could have an advantage of age if you work back on seo but it requires more work. However, weird thing is that, i have been getting more clicks for the main keyword i chose since i forwarded my domain.

Yeah, I wouldn't think forwarding a domain would have ANY effect on the other site, but maybe I'm wrong. I don't think it should anyway.
