So building more backlinks to your site will increase traffic isn't that correct?

So in essence if you have say, for example, 1,000,000 backlinks and one person from each website that you linked to follows that link to your site each day then... you will have 1,000,000 visitors a day to your site.

Is that correct??

The math sounds simple, but it'll never happen.

You would never be able to get 1,000,000 backlinks that
would bring a visitor each. And, if you got a million a day like that,
you'd need a hosting account that would not crash and burn.

    Theory yes, reality no.

Backlinks are rarely gotten with visitors in mind. They are in
strategic places for PR. Backlinks do not directly contribute to
such an increase in traffic from them.

Oh ok thank you for clearing that up. I was just asking because I'm getting about 100 visitors a day. I was looking towards Adwords for more traffic but my account got suspended.

I just need 2 conversions from that 100 visitors to quit one of my jobs so I figured I could scale it bigger with more backlinks.
