Help needed with Keywords

Hello guys i will be launching a blog in few days.

I am almost clearer on every thing. But keywords are really hard to understand

Like;

1-) How many keywords should i choose? 1 or 2? I have 1 or 2 keywords ready, in which one keyword has very less competition and good searches.

2-) What i have to do with the keywords, like posting them in my articles / titles.

Please help experts

      OP, it would be worth just doing a bit more work on keyword research before you launch the blog. There's a site called "The Challenge" by Ed Dale, it's free and if you scroll through the training modules there are a couple of very good lessons on how to do this. It will also be a useful resource for you in future.

    The keyword you said you had that has good searches and less competition, I would take that for your main keyword and use your promotional efforts, such as article marketing, to focus on that specific phrase. (Even have it for your domain name if it's available) But if you put that phrase into the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and get a bunch of related keywords, you will be able to sort them according to competitiveness and volume and add a post or page every couple of days with the new keywords in the title to gradually increase traffic to your blog. These might be the longer-tailed keywords.
    You certainly don't have to limit yourself to just one or two keywords.

    • Google Adwords is an excellent tool that will help you to determine how relevant a particular word is, while Google Fight tells you which of any two particular words is better, and even displays animation. Yahoo has several free tools available as well. For those with a bit of a budget, it's always a good idea to have an expert help you with keyword research. Having the right keywords in the beginning can save you a lot of time and effort down the road
  • You may use Market Samurai or Google Adwords keyword tool for researching your keywords.

    Choose one main keyword for one article. Make your article about 500 words and include your keyword about 5-10 times in your article.

    Your title should begin with a keyword.

    Then, all you need to do is build backlinks. You may use forums, social bookmarking sites, articles. Remember to make your keyword clickable. For example your keyword is "how to to xxxx using yyy" and you make that clickable: how to to xxxx using yyy
