Redirecting Domain Names....

OK, I have just purchased a couple of domain names that are keyword specific to my niche. These domains are already ranked on page one in the number one spot on Google.

What happens to those Google Rankings if I redirect these domains to another domain in the same niche?

(using as example only - I don't own any of these domains)

Example;
Domain #1 DogBlankets.com - Google Placement #1
Domain #2 DogToys.com - Google Placement #2

What would happen if I redirected these domains to;

DogSupplies.com - Listed on Google but on page 5

What happens to the rankings of DogBlankets.com & DogToys.com if I redirect them to my main website? Will I loose the top Google placement for these domains?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated.

    If you use 301 redirect, the redirected URL will get the whole PR juice.

      I understand about the 301 redirect but was wondering about what happens to the rankings of DogBlankets.com & DogToys.com if I redirect them to my main website using a 301 redirect?
