Niches - so many choices, so little time...

How do you decide which niches to pick? I mean there's so many I could choose from. It's hard to make up your mind. And then you end up doing nothing in case you find something better.

Not to mention all the tools (Google's Keyword Tool, YSE etc) only show approx. figures, that great niche you found might not be as great as you thought.

Do you do a through research or just throw a bunch of stuff against the wall to see what sticks?

    Ah, the age old question. There are truly only a few niches that sell online year in and year out ... acne, wrinkle reduction, weight loss, quit smoking, relationships, i think you get the idea. The key is knowing your niche and being able to:

    1) write credibly about it, whether an ad or blog
    2) have the discipline to drive the traffic
    3) follow through with consistency
    4) track
    5) repeat

    The top two keys to choosing the right niche is to ...

    1. Find what sells.
    - and -
    2. Choose what you like or .. preferably have a passion for.

    All the rest will fall into place. I say that because if you like what you do, you'll persist at doing instead of jumping from one niche to the next.

    Think narrow and deep instead of wide and shallow.
