Press Release traffic to site with Adsense on it...safe?

I made a new affiliate site, and I've heard that Press Releases can be a good way to get links and traffic, even for harder to rank for terms. Along the side-menu of the site, spread out, are three text-based Adsense units.

I know it's okay to have both affiliate links/banners and Adsense together (since the affiliate links are not contextual advertising)...but is is Adsense-safe to promote such a site through press releases?

It's possible it may receive a quick flood of traffic, and I'm wondering if a sudden influx of traffic - and possibly clicks, since the Adsense ads are displaying products that the affiliate-product audience might also be interested in - poses any risk to Adsense.

Surely Google can see that the traffic is all "organic" (ie, people found the site through press releases which featured in the search results)...I just wanted to ask you guys what you thought about the potential influx of traffic and clicks on a brand new site.

Thanks so much for your views!

    Nobody knows?

I'll take the lack of responses to mean that what I'd like to do is okay, Adsense-wise. From what I've read, people have the option to email Adsense Support and notify them of an expected surge in traffic and/or revenue, and they always seem to get a "Thanks for letting us know, but it's not necessary, we monitor where the traffic is coming from" sort of reply...

But I'd still like to hear some of your thoughts! Thanks again.

I do not see any problems unless its a complete MFA site.
However i am not adsense guru, G would be the best person to answer this.
Also G tracks your traffic source, if your traffic comes from PR sites, everything should be ok imo.

S, thanks for your thoughts; it's definitely not a MFA site; though it's small (just one page), it is very clearly a product review page for the affiliate product in question, with affiliate banners and links for the specific product. The Adsense ads are just an "extra" on the side, which are displaying ads for products in the same general category as the affiliate product, triggered by the written content of the site.

I also have the three Adsense units separated from the affiliate banners with lines.

      Thanks again.
