google backlinks vs yahoo backlinks

Have a quick question, I was trying out a new backlink checker and it broke my back links into yahoo backlinks and google backlinks. I had a TON of yahoo and then a handful of google backlinks. What the heck does this mean?? Good and yahoo backlinks?? a difference??

  • If u have google Back link u will have a "X" rank in google if u have yahoo backlinks u will have an "x" rank in yahoo it depents in the number of backlink!they all diferent search engines!

    • Different search engines show different results, this holds true for organic results as well as advanced queries and backlink stats. It doesn't mean that Google found a lot less of the backlinks, it just means they don't want to show all the backlinks giving SEO juice publicly. There is no benefit to them.

  • okay, I get it! I was wondering about it! I am fighting really hard right now for some keywords so I am looking to tie up all lose ends! thanks.
  • Google and yahoo indexing patterns are not similar. You can usually find more backlinks with yahoo than google.
