I think link pyramids are more effective than link wheels. This is because link pyramids have many layers and leave no footprints. If done properly, they are very very effective.

Go with the link pyramid, you don't want to risk google discovering your link wheel.

Link pyramid has the big indexing rates and security,Even a single break will leave link wheel easily find by google.

I have been testing the effects of both of these over the past 6 weeks for clients. So far neither has excelled. The pyramid has indexed at a higher ration but has not made a greater difference than a tradition yet. The next 6 weeks may tell me more.

Its a shame there are so many other factors that stop it being a fair test lol
