In making a content for your site make sure that is has high quality and related exactly to your site. If your site is on the field of Gadgets make sure your content also tackling the same topic. It also original not just a spun.

Make it something you would want to read. If you were a visitor, would you stay to read your own article? If not it's probably trash.

Focus news about your niche and reproduce them, or write reviews for your products, or share some official tips or reports. I mainly focus on news.

Make up your mind with the subject and think a minute for those keywords with the help of you need to write content and then start writing article, And make sure key word stuffing should not go beyond the limit that is 3-5% of total word in that particular page.

    Hi,

Lets not debate about philosophy right now and go straight to a simplified how-to of content creation.

Before creating content in any format, you have to answer 4 important questions first:
    1. What is your purpose? -> your vision, mission & goals
    2. Who are your intended audience? -> demographics
    3. What can your audience get from it? -> value for them
    4. Is there a demand? -> simple market intelligence here.

Caveat: If you have passion about the topic, then market intelligence becomes optional or nonessential at all.

Once you've answered them clearly, you proceed to technical questions:
    1. How are you going to deliver the content? -> download, online, CD, DVD
    2. In what format are you going to deliver the fully compiled content? -> pdf, exe, streaming, web-based app, dynamic, combination
    3. What are the elements in your content? for eg. text, video, audio, music, v/o, graphics, animation, flash etc.
    4. What are the features? interactive, one-way
    5. How are you going to manage the content? -> relevant only when content is planned to grow
    6. How are you going to manage users? -> relevant only when you planned to have a community around your content

Right after completing the tech questions, there are 4 necessary steps to take:
    1. Make a mind map of all your content & elements
    2. Identify resources : tools, budget, experts, developers, technology choice
    3. Plan your production : a time-based Gannt chart to see progress
    4. Decide your main role in this content creation project and the role of others.

After you've satisfied all the above, then you're ready to start:
    1. start your production
    2. check quality at certain points of time
    3. test your content & quality of delivery
    4. launch ( several strategies and methods here )
    5. audit the response to your content
    6. improve & redeliver

So far, I've outlined only the critical basics. I've elaborated further in my web site. It is not comprehensive, though quite enough to start with.

I've left out market intelligence and strategies. These aspects are already well covered in WF by Warriors namely - Mike Christon, Tim Atkinson, Bill Platt, Mark Hess, Tracy Needham, William Souza and Kenster. Check their posts and WSOs.

It is always good to start content creation based on industry best practices. The quality produced will be much better than expected, even from the start.

Now. Anyone who wants to discuss whether Content Is King or not, can open another thread and invite me to it. I'm confident that it will be an interesting discourse (or debate).

Just provide the answer to the question your reader is looking for. Don't over complicate it and give the reader more than they're asking for.

There is no best content, only better content. Just put up something useful for your readers constantly, and you will get traffic. Consistence is the key.

    Hi everyone,

What I shared is not complicated at all. My long post was an attempt to answer the first part of Chini's question below with a universal outline for all types of budding content producers.

Even the author of a blog article needs to answer the first 4 questions, if quality is his credo.

For the next part of Chini's question below, which focuses on authoring articles. I found WAAR, a WSO by Mike Christon and Cracking The Code to Ebook Success by Tracy Needham as 2 very solid references.

Both will change the way you think and how to write about things effectively.

Chini knows what he wants and how far he wants to go as an author. And he is passionate about it. What he is seeking is a set of good guides to excel.

Cracking The Code to Ebook Success would be a good start. Get it while the offer is still there.

In creating a good content, you must consider the relevancy of your article to your site. Make it more interesting to the readers and give emphasis on what your readers can get or learn from your article.
