How to get back links

I am new in internet marketing. I don't know what is backlink. I have heard about it on internet. I have got a few list of backlinking website. But when i tried to submit my url into those website they asked me to submit their url (html code) into my website first. How can i submit so many urls into my website. Is this the way of getting backlinks?

    A backlick is just a link back to your site from another one. An example would be the signature files here on the Warrior forum.

    The kind of sites you're describing, where they ask you to add their url to your site, are just a different kind of backlink known as a reciprocal link. In my opinion reciprocal links have very little credibility these days as Google can see the idea behind them quite easily.

  • There are many ways to get backlinks but for good ones you usually have to pay.
  • imagine your are running for an election and the more votes you have the higher chance you will win. In this case if there are many sites having a link to your website, it shows that your website is popular and will in turn gain ranking in the search engine.

    • And of course those people should be in your country Translated you need backlinks with similar topic(niche) as your own. Those are worth way more than other backlinks.
  • Reciprocal links have very little value now a days or so that is what the seo experts are saying. If you are determined to go this route I suppose you could have a page just for the links and be able to fit a ton of them in. Won't be worth your time though.

    • Hi there. There is a website - Internet Marketing & SEO Forum | IMTalk.org which is a good place to get some easy, semi automated backlinks if you are unsure about how to do it manually. Other than that, it's just about finding places where you can put you web link either in anchor text or as a naked link.
