About How Long With This Take?

I just did a big SEO overhaul on all of my websites using ClickBump. About how long will it take for the changes to reflect in Google? I know that Google is a mysterious creature and there is no definite answer to the question. I'm just looking for a ball park estimate of how long it takes for you to see changes in Google when you update content on already existing pages.

it depends. it could take hours or weeks. but i think it all depends on whether you have submitted a sitemap and if your site struck is good enough. or if you have lots of back links and how frequently you update your site's content. this has no definite answer mate .

I rarely update these sites, or backlink them. They have good traffic as it is. And I use the Google Sitemap plugin. I'm not sure if that helps or not.

If you're using a sitemap (which you have added & verified in Google Webmaster Tools), my experience has been that changes are reflected in the index within a week.

The Catch: that doesn't mean your rankings will immediately change. Unfortunately it seems to me that your index entry itself adjusted doesn't exactly match up with whatever decides the order of the ranking.

    Weird and wily beast indeed.

It depends on the quality of your website. If you have a quality site, Google indexes it very fast and changes will be reflected to it fast but if you have an usual website, it usually takes less than one week that Google re-index your pages ans shows the new ones in SERP.
