a lot of adwords phishing going on

Hi warriors. Some of you know I'm a PI and I investigate a lot of online fraud.
In the last week I got 5 emails from IMers that had their google adwords account stolen. They got one of those phishing emails asking to update their adwords account and they gave away their PW.

I wish I could discuss the specific details of one of the cases and I hope to get a release from the client to describe it.
It appears the phishers are sort of pranksters that are stealing the accounts not to make money but to poke fun.

        Consumers are so protected from the fraud these days, I'm surprised they would hire an investigator at all. It's the businesses that need help since they are the ones that have to eat all of those payments that get reversed back to the consumer.

    Common sense says not to use the links provided in such emails, better way is to login into your account manually and to change/ update the account that way.

      I know. I hate to admit it but I fell for a myspace phisher once and I teach an internet safety class at the local police sub station near my house.
