Suddenly Appeared in Bing, Yahoo. Why?

I had posted that I wouldn't mind getting a site ranked in Yahoo and Bing, as the quality of the traffic I get is really good. It's really small, but of such quality, that makes up for it.

The only thing that I did differently was getting some .edu and some .gov backlinks and some article marketing. I had done article marketing before, so I can't say that did it. And I can't say the .gov/.edu links did it, but for this site, that all that had been done lately.

I'm just curious, if anyone could say why this happened? I did guess that they mirror Google, but that's a guess.

My thoughts are that they mirror Google. I do think it takes a little longer to move up in yahoo or bing once I have moved up in google but ever so slowly they do follow. I haven't tried to tweak anything to see why or how to make that faster.

Like I said, I'm happy for the ranking, with no effort. If I could do something that would help, I would. Maybe it's enough that they mirror Google. If I get the same rankings, that would be nice too.

Yeah it happens a lot. I usually experience Yahoo and Bing rankings before Google so I don't think they mirror the rankings too closely.

In my experience, automated SEO tools work best for Yahoo and Bing as they're algorithms are a lot less sensitive to spam than Google. - Not endorsing this though because I would never want to sacrifice Google rankings for Yahoo and Bing rankings.
