Hello, I have a question - what is the EXACT google's policy about duplicate content? If I submit one article to about 5-6 article directories, with a dofollow backlink, will it affect my ranking differently than if I were to submit a different article to each one of the article directories??

Help me out!

No; it won't affect the ranking of the site linked to in the articles' resource-boxes differently at all.

The quality of a backlink on a specific page in an article directory isn't altered by changing the content of the article to which it's attached.

You're asking about "duplicate content", but that isn't really what you need to know about, to find out what you actually want to know.

This thread explains the difference between duplicate content and syndicated content.

    • If Google will penalize for any thing it means Page Ranking for your website will suddenly drop and the position on SERP will be affected by this.
  • It is noteworthy to point out though, that Google specifically mentions to link back to the original article...when syndicating content.

    • You can include a Meta source tag to do this btw
  • No it will not effect you.
You can post your article to as many article directories as you wish.
But don't put duplicate content on your site.

    • That makes no sense.

Google does not penalize for duplicate content. What they
penalize for is doing things to manipulate search engines.

Putting duplicate content on your site does not mean you
are manipulating search engines. Google gives a complete
explanation of this in the link above. If anyone would just read.

      So let's highlight:

    • In my opinion, being a SEO, As I am doing for my clients, Submitting the same article in different directories will not be counted as a duplicate content until unless you are not going to submit the same article in same directory. So just cool, Need not to worry about it.

    • You may not get the benefit from all the directories but it would not penalize you. When you submit to a major directory a lot of people take that content and post on their small directories. You can not control that so how can you get penalized for that.

  • You can use same content in many article directory, you will not ban by Google search engine.
  • Example: I have an IDENTICAL article (not spun) published to over 200 (two HUNDRED) article directories, all copies indexed by Google. The article backlinks to my site, and has not done it any harm.

But I am glad the so-called duplicate (actually, syndicated) content myth looks set to persist - just keep on spinnin' people, I've got some writing to do...

If you are putting up duplicate content on your website for example
that is already published on a different website, your content won´t
    appear in the search engine.

Multiple syndicated content from article directories doesn´t harm
your rankings, but it gives you backlink juice. Even if you can´t rank
for these articles, you will get backlinks in return.
  • hi , you can submit your article to various article directory, you will not banned by Google
