My New Video on the First Page of Google!

Hi all,

I recorded and uploaded a short, how-to video and just saw that it's on the 1st page of Google for my keywords. Yay!

I'm NOT very comfortable with video at all. I'm a writer and don't care to be in front of a camera at all. But I know video is big and as an IMer, I can't afford to ignore it. I DID record a couple of videos (my first ever for my squeeze pages), but haven't done anything since.

So I've been learning how to do screencast videos so I can do videos even if I'm not looking great or feeling great. (If I'm not feeling great, my looks reflect it. And if my hair and makeup isn't just right, I WON'T do video. Screencasting lets me get around this.)

The video isn't perfect and the perfectionist in me cringes. But it's only a screencast -- so it's ok.

Just wanted to share the success!

    Congrats on your success! As a fellow writer, I can really relate to the "not quite used to being on camera" thing. I went for it myself only recently

    Trust me, I kept doing *facepalms* at my own video, so you're in good company.

      Glad I'm not the only one.

      In looking back, I realize my post sounds like I just did my first video. No, not really. I've been doing it a while, just testing to see if I could get consistent results with them (more or less). And I have been.

      I just get excited when I see them zoom to the top of Google.

    Great now track it and see how it converts.

    Then if it works figure out exactly what you did to get ranked... and do it again.

    That seems simple, but most people really don't know how they ranked a page but are happy when they do. If you don't know how or why your page ranked then you can't repeat... obvious I know.
