A question on Social Bookmarking

I have a very general question about social bookmarking. I will use SocialMonkee to ask my question. Currently SocialMonkee has 100 bookmarking sites.

If your website has 3,000 pages and you use SocialMonkee's service to submit ALL 3,000 with UNIQUE Title and descriptions, there is still only the possibility of getting 100 backlinks correct?

Or put another way, lets say there is a social bookmarking site called doofus.org

Once you put a social bookmark on that site for the title "window cleaning" it is only going to result in ONE backlink even if you add another bookmark say with the title "dryer vent cleaning" you are NOT going to get another backlink because the site already has a backlink for "window cleaning"

Or as long as the title and descriptions are unique, can you get 300 backlinks from ONE site?

    I use the paid version of social monkee.

    Well, if you are submitting a different URL with a different article and title and tags, there is no reason to not get another backlink.

    But with 3000 pages and a maximum of 3 submission per day, it would take you the best part of the year to deal with this one site.
    I personally think that social monkee paid version is absolutely brilliant if you have dozens of site like I do but I think, it would be a bit of a waste for you to want to bookmark every single page of your site, however , if that's what float your boat, by all means knock yourself out . Having said that , if your site is some kind of a directory type site where you could conceivably think of each page being more or less a stand alone entity, then I can understand why you would want to do that.

    Why don't you use the free version to test it out?


    I would say, if you only have one site, use the free version to bookmark the main URL (25) and may be a few different pages that you may have identified (google analytics) as bringing in the traffic or converting well and then find other type of backlinks (blog commenting, articles, blog networks) to build a diversified backlink infrastructure.

    • thank you for your comment and insight. I actually use SocialMonkee and can already attest to it's value. I guess somewhere in my learning I came away with the idea that once you have a backlink from a domain then that is the only back link you will get. All others would just be wasted. Therefore, to achieve 3,000 backlinks you would have to have a backlink from 3,000 unique domains.

      Perhaps I need to re-learn some things

  • Ya i have submitted my website url, will you tell me one thing is it make report or not because when i check it then it show the title of website and full report means where my link is submitted is not shows, just i want to know is there any link from where i can find the full report.

    • When I login, from the menu I click "Report" THEN "View Report" to the right side of each submission. That will show you many of your links but not all. To see all you have to be a pro member
  • I have adopt a strategy just after publishing a post on the site, instantly bookmark it in almost more than 50 high pr social book marking sites and got a good result.
