Hi,
I started a content network only campaign on google about 3 days ago but still do not see any impressions..

Do these ads have to be manually approved? Anyone know on ave how long it takes? Also, could it be bids are too low to show the ads?
Thanks again

    Hi Brian,

It often takes a coupe of days. If you are still not seeing any impressions after 3 days I would say you probably need to raise your bids a little.

Try doubling your bids temporarily to see if it kick starts the impressions. Then gradually lower them to your target bids after the impressions start rolling in. Make note of your ad positions and how many impressions you are getting at each bid level and use this data to plan your strategy.

The most likely problem is that you need to increase your bids. You need to make sure you keep close tabs on everything to do with your adwords campaign before the costs escalate.

I just went in to adjust my bid and realized that the min bid was 10 dollars

looks like the 8 month course I have is now irrelevant and google wants the exact keywords in the ads just like search..... here we go again..

hopefully the 2 week old course on the content network will steer me right....

Google ideas are here today and gone tommorrow

Thanks. I just noticed the min bids are only on adword editor.

There is no previous history of these keywords in my campaign.

I still see no impressions and I now have doubled my bid and the Hour glassing over the keywords gives no clues as well.

Is this normal for new keywords in a content only campaign to take a while to kick in?

Is it that a human reviewer needs to look at these first or something?

I raise my bids 5 times the amount I am willing to pay. I wait 1 day. Presto! I lower my bids. Good luck!

      Hi Brian,

Just set a daily budget you can live with and let 'er rip!

That reminds me, if you set your daily budget too low you won't get any impressions either, since there is no way to stop your impressions on a dime your ads won't trigger any. The closer you are to using up your daily budget the fewer impressions you'll get.

OK my cpc's are over a dollar and even though google said my daily budget was OK I made it over 100 per day.

Stay tuned to see if the lad gets any impressions now.

My first post. I feel so blessed to be here.
Former Stomper; could no longer afford the monthly fee.
With regard to upping the bid, does the Yahoo estimator give you a good idea of what position your ad is appearing in?
    Otherwise, how can you know?

    Hey Brian,

I'm having the exact same issue with Google and it's getting annoying. One thing to look at are your URL's and how they are listed. I'm finding out I can't set up a domain and directly link it to the affiliate site. This is against googles affiliate rules??

Does anyone have any insight on linking affiliate url's on Google?

Yeah for these you really need your own domain and hosting. Like you said Adwords don't allow it. What you can always do with this is create a review page on certain products in the same niche. Give reviews and then link them to the product itself. This will work good. Leaving affiliate links on forums is not allowed. That would be your best bet.

As far as the content network is concerned it doesn't take to long and people need to have landing pages set up accordingly. Quality score when it came out a while back now created many problems for people. Write good ads and right landing pages alongg with keywords and your content impressions will go up. I currently get content network clicks as low as 1 cent. Work with it and learn more and you can get your impressions up.

Actaully, the one where the impressions are not shoing is a direct linking campaign.
Anyone know if direct linkink on content network is not allowed?

Sorry to reactivate the thread here but it's wrong that you cant direct link in the content network (or even on adwords in general). It is allowed and I run ads approved with direct linking over an affiliate networks redirect server to the final URL (which is in the Display-URL).
