Not getting as much traffic as anticipated...

I recently got to the top page of Google, I am currently 6th on a 3 word keyword that gets 3,600 searches (exact) a month. 3.4 million results yada yada yada.

I'm only getting about 20 people a day to visit (according to awstats, which inflates it sort of). And have only made $3 via email CPA in the 3 days that its been on the top page. Day 1 - 10th, Day 2 - 9th, Day 3 - 6th.

Why am I not getting so much traffic? Should I just wait it out for the top spot and see what happens? How long should I wait while its on the top spot before I sell (if its only making $1 a day or so)?

Thanks!

6th spot really isn't that great. Get in the top 3 and then re-evaluate the traffic you're getting and the conversions. Don't be afraid to split test your landing page to see if one converts better than the other.

You should definitely wait it out. Don't expect much traffic below the top 3 spots.

1st spot gets roughly 45% of all clicks for a keyword and 2nd is around 10% I believe. 6th spot get around 6%.

Plus this keyword only gets 120 searches a day so about 20 clicks in the 6th spot is actually pretty good.
