G Panda, How effected Squidoo - Hubpages

With the recent Google Panda changes, I have read much about members here having issues with EzineArticles (EZA), or more to the point that EZA has had issues with Google page ranks, has this also effected Squidoo and Hubpages the same in page rank?

If I say to my self, I will try to right 5 articles a week, really try hard to make good quality, do you Think I am better off with Squidoo or Hubpages that are authority sites and take a percentage of the Adsense (or other sales in Squidoo) or run these pages my self and try to SEO them organically white hat?

Thanks from a newbie.

So does anyone know if the Google Panda update also killed off Suidoo and Hubpages?

All In know is that my various hubpage accounts have been decimated - page views, clicks and cpc have plumetted..
Time to work on my own sites i think..

I do not think that the Panda changes last week were final. I see many low quality & unrelated pages on first page of search results for many terms. Bing has currently more relevant search results. And I do not think this is what Google was trying to do.

Very little to think about, here: if you want to build up your business, and be in control of it, and not be dependent on other people's (ever-changing) terms and conditions and whether Google likes them, then host your own pages and do your own SEO.

Squidoo appears to be trying to cut out all the crap posts on it (and there is a lot). But I think they are going a little too far. My Squidoo pages are all considered Works in Progress, which means that they do not get crawled by Google. It is a real shame, because the content on them is genuine. I guess Squidoo doesn't like the fact that I posted a few links on them.
