Which keywords will sell ACME Widgets?

Got your attention, good as I would love lots of varying opinions on this if possible.
Let's say acmewidgets is already online selling their products and the catalog is 500 items strong. There are lots of fan sites, blogs and what not talking about various classic widgets, new widgets, obsolete widgets, widget collections and on and on it goes.
What's the best way to cash in on a new widget that will be released soon and will for sure create a buzz as it will be the latest fad? Do you get a domain name like widgetreview? It's not very targeted since who knows which widget we are going to review and doing 500 reviews is just not feasible nor a great way to target keywords. Do I get a domain like buywidgets which is more targeted but still not perfect.
One problem is that this new acme product is going to be named very similar to the company name. For example, it could be called the acmedeluxe or rocketacme.The question really comes down to this...do I target the new acme product? If I do, I will lose out on the nostalgia factor that this new widget willcreate. Once people have the new widget, odds are very good they will want to purchase classic widgets as well as books about those widgets, movies, toys, you know the whole marketing hoopla that goes around releasing a cool widget these days.
Can you give me some kind of road map as to how you would go about creating a campaign to maximize on this kind of release? I imagine it all starts with the perfect domain name(s) which I'm having trouble figuring out how to go about choosing the right keywords to maximize my ROI.
