Adsense # of articles question

I'm trying to build exact match domains and rank them for the EMD keyword. However I'm wondering if it is better to write multiple articles for each site or just have 1 or 2?
For example when a customer lands on my page is he more likely to click on a adsense ad with the main article on the front page or a secondary article that he can select from the menu bar?
Is it worth it to write 5-10 articles when u only want to rank for 1 keyword?
